Day 1

Day 1. . . Arriving in Pairs was just as expected, exciting and chaotic. After a very bumpy plane ride we headed to our apartment, which took 40 minutes to get inside because we couldn't figure out the code.

After unpacking we walked a few blocks and ate at a little cafe and had a delicious Croque Monsieur  and Omelete du fromage. When we finished we walked to a near by grocery store and through a little park down the street for our apartment. Once back at the apartment we needed to catch some shut-eye. We took a 3 hour nap and then set out to explore the area that we will be living in for the upcoming week. While walking we stopped at a candy, and jewelry shop where we bought our first souvenir. After walking a while longer and getting lost along the way, thanks to Brookes sense of direction, we came across a beautiful piece of architecture with golden leaf covering the dome. We later found out that it is a military museum which also holds Napoleon's tomb.

From there we walked to a tiny restaurant where we ate a very nice dinner. After almost falling asleep at the table, we attempted to walk home by making many wrong turns along the way. Once our heads reached the pillows we all fell fast asleep.
